Day 2: Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots

Mary, Beloved Mother, channel of all grace, I return to You today my heart, recognizing that I am a sinner in need of your help. I entrust into Your hands this knot [mention your request here] which keeps me from reflecting the glory of God.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life.  You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.
[Mention your request here]
I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. You are my hope.
O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains.
Hear my plea.
Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe refuge!
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Amen.

Day 1: Novena To Our Lady, Undoer of Knots

Dearest Holy Mother, Most Holy Mary, you undo the knots that suffocate your children. Extend your merciful hands to me. I entrust to You today this knot [mention your request here] and all the negative consequences that it provokes in my life.
A Little About Our Lady, Undoer of Knots

Alrighty,

*cracks knuckles*

(Actually, *just hurts fingers trying to crack knuckles*)

(And I lied to you. I can and actually did, crack my knuckles)

(Anyway)

Tomorrow we begin our first novena of May!

The Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots!

......

But who is she?

All You Lovely Readers: Well, obviously, it's another title for Our Lady, but come on, Kat. Give us DETAILS!

Well, actually I was looking for better details explaining her and found this lovely article over at Mary, Undoer of Knots.com.

So, here is the link: TA DA!!!!

But I'm also just going to copy and paste part of it here for you all, ok?

"EVE BY HER DISOBEDIENCE, TIED THE KNOT OF DISGRACE FOR THE HUMAN RACE; WHEREAS MARY, BY HER OBEDIENCE, UNDID IT"
                                                        -Saint Irenaeus

"But what are these knots? They are the problems and struggles that we face for which we do not

see a solution. Knots of discord with your family, lack of understanding between parents and

children, disrespect, violence, the knots of deep hurts between husband and wife, the absence of

joy from the home. They are also the knots of anguish and despair of separated couples, the

dissolution of the family, the knots of drug addicted son or daughter, sick or separated from home

or God, the knots of alcoholism, the practice of abortion, depression, unemployment, fear,

solitude. Ah. The knots of our life. How they suffocate the soul, beat us down and betray the

heart's joy and separate us from God."

So there you have it.

Also, her painting as Undoer of Knots:

Book Review: Sylvester or The Wicked Uncle by Georgette Heyer

"Sylvester or The Wicked Uncle" by Georgette Heyer

This book!

*GASP*

I finished it last Sunday. Monday morning actually. Because, yes! It IS a stay up until 3 AM kind of book. If you liked Pride and Prejudice, you NEED to read this book. It's....it's.....

I can't even explain it right now, so I'll just post the blurb from the back on here, ok?

Sylvester, Duke of Salford, has exacting requirements for a bride. Then he meets Phoebe Marlow, a young lady with literary aspirations, and suddenly life becomes very complicated. She meets none of his criteria, and even worse, she has written a novel that is sweeping through the ton and causing all kinds of gossip... and he's the main character!

*sound of me gasping like a dying fish on the floor.*

Please, PLEASE read it and comment below about whether or not you liked it!

P.S. Lia REALLY needs to read this. What IS she doing with her time? School. Ha! That's crazy. Who wants to do school when you have regency novels?

Marian Novenas For The Month of May

I will be putting up two novenas this month in honor of Our Lady.

Now these particular novenas, Mary Undoer of Knots Novena and The Three Hail Mary Novena, (which isn't really a novena because it goes for 3 days instead of 9, but whatever) have a different prayer each day,  so I will post that days prayer each morning.

Prayers will be up by 7 AM!!!

(Pinkie Promise!)

Now, the Three Day Novena will begin May 22, so we will end on the feast of Our Lady, Help of Christians. The Christians in the Middle East need all the help they can get, so please mention them in your request!

And the Novena to Mary Undoer of Knots will begin on the first  of the Month.

HOLY DAYS AND FEAST DAYS THIS MONTH:

May 1- Our Lady, Queen of May
May 13- Our Lady Of Fatima
May 24- Our Lady, Help of Christians
MAY 25- Feast of the Ascension! (This is a Holy Day of Obligation!)
May 31- Visitation. Also the Queenship of Mary

(BTW: This is my favorite picture of the Visitation)

Ok, have a blessed day.

Happy Easter everyone!

Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Holy Week was a little chaotic. Yeesh!

I've also been soul searching lately. My mom and I recently had the 'what do you want to do after high school talk.' Which was interesting. I'm trying to figure it out. I've been praying for a while and I honestly am so confused. So I would appreciate if you guys would keep me in your prayers.

I mean, I have some idea what I want to do. I just don't know if it's what I'm meant to do with my life.

I want to go to college and major in theatre. When I was in my church's play in January, I felt so at home on the stage. I felt happy.

But I suppose this is one of my fears about it. I'm not the most outgoing person. I am a little shy and have some anxiety. I want to go for it.

Thanks guys. Thanks for reading our blog and commenting all the nice things.

Love,
-Lia
